Apply a generous amount of the pre-wash treatment to your dry hair and scalp. I like to massage it in a bit and then come through with a wide tooth comb. After my hair is coated in it I wrap my hair up in a bun and watch a movie or just go to sleep. I feel like the longer I leave it in the softer my hair is at the end of the process.
The cashmere protein and amino acid blend help start the nourishing process.
MICHAEL VAN CLARKE 3”’ More Inches – Lifesaver Pre-Wash Treatment. -I received a sample of this from Net-a-porter. It worked so well I bought a bottle.
Next up I rinse the treatment out of my hair and give a good scrub to my scalp with Aveda pramāsana™ purifying scalp cleanser. I recently discovered this when Aveda sent it over to try out. It smells great and with just a little it really cleans the hair at the scalp. I use the pointed tip to apply a few small drops around my scalp and then work it into a lather and leave it. I leave the scalp cleanser on while I wash the rest of my hair with Bumble & Bumble Hairdresser’s Invisible Oil Cleansing Oil-Creme Duo.
Another delicious smelling product this is a no suds formula. It will leave the hair soft and frizz-free.
Rinse both the scalp treatment and the cleaning oil out and finish by giving the hair a good squeeze with the Aquis Hair Towel.
I turn off the water and then massage a little less than a golf ball size amount of the ANourishing Mask.
Comb it through before putting all of your hair in a plastic cap. I want one of those hair steamers to use but for now, I cover the plastic cap with the Aquis towel and catch up on a book or housewives!
Rinse it out after 20 minutes.
I stopped using regular bath towels on my hair a few years ago when I discovered the Aquis hair towel. It dries the hair super quick and helps controls frizz and breakage. Plus, they just released some new colors and styles!
I usually blow-dry my hair and then flat iron it with a large paddle brush to seal in the moisture and shine. This new Amika Flat Iron is so pretty and works amazingly well. I am really happy with it. The iron smoothes my hair with iRED Beam Technology embedded into the tourmaline-infused plate which carries heat deeper into the hair, so moisture is maintained throughout.
I know it sounds like a lot but it can be done in an evening and your hair will thank you for it.
