48 Hours in Pebble Beach

Every now and then a weekend away is just what you need.  48 hours in Pebble Beach is enough to relax, explore the area and take a little time for yourself.  A town big on luxury, nature and relaxing there is something for everyone here. WHERE TO STAY

Spanish Bay 

A super chic and laid back property located right on the beach.  Despite the opulence of your surroundings, this spot feels like a local hangout with a laid back vibe.  Morning walks on the beach and through the historic cypress forests are a must then grab drinks at sunset by the firepit and enjoy the fog rolling in, the bagpipers playing and views that make this spot feel like a dream.

La Playa

Carmel-by-the-Sea is just a few minutes from the Pebble Beach gates.   A cozy and old Hollywood feel right in the middle of Carmel is La Playa hotel.  The property boasts views, gardens and major feels. This property is where you go to be seen while getting away.  Grab a private cottage just steps from the beach or a chic poolside room. Brunch here is decadent and the sunset views do not disappoint.

Sticks at Spanish Bay – A super cool sports vibe–watch the game from the bar or by the firepits.  The tater tots aren’t always on the menu but every local knows if you ask for them they magically appear!  

Drinks by the fire pit — the Lodge, Spanish Bay or Sticks Pebble Beach is the ultimate outdoor living no matter the weather.  They have cozy blankets and a hearty drink menu to keep you warm at all three of their signature fire pits.  

Aubergine Carmel – Recently awarded a coveted Michelin star this spot is awesome for dinner, a cooking class, or drinks in the courtyard (every Thursday in summer). 

Lafayette Bakery – Pop over to this local favorite for breakfast or pick up a picnic and enjoy it on the Carmel beach– you just might spot the scenery from Big Little Lies!

 

WHAT TO WEAR

WHAT TO SEE

Point Lobos – A simple hike that is stunning in views and romantic coves said to be the inspiration for the book Treasure Island.  

17 Mile Drive – A fun and quick drive with tons of popular photo opportunities.  Pack a picnic lunch and enjoy it at one of the famous stops like Crocker Grove.  

Lover’s Point – The site of many film and tv locations this park has a great bike trail along the coast, a yummy deli and one of the most romantic dining spots in the area.

Asilomar – Check to see when the tide is low and then pop over to this rocky beach to do a bit of tide pooling and walking on the new path.  If you go around dusk you just may see the beach deers come out to graze the golf courses.
