I took a super fun cooking class at Aubergine Carmel earlier today. Aubergine is a super posh restaurant in Carmel, CA that is constantly recommended to me right now. A few weeks ago I decided to research them and decided instead of dinner to take a cooking class! If you decided to eat there know that once a month they do a super fun themed dinner for an amazingly good deal of 4 course+wine for $110 per person. Upcoming themes are Russian cuisine, Thai, Southern US country and more. It sells out super quick so call now to see what they have left for the year.
This month’s class focused on chopping skill. For $100 you learn a fun skin, get a recipe to take home and get fed lunch (+wine!). Aubergine offers a different class every month and space is limited to 6 students only. We were offered to take home the meal we cooked, leftovers and all the veggies we chopped. I regret not cooking all of my veggies and taking them home. My husband ate my leftovers in the car ride home and I was totally looking forward to eating it for dinner!
We started with onions and moved on to carrots, peppers and more. Everything we chopped we used to make ourselves lunch. It was a quick stir fry. The head chef, Justin, added a peanut sauce that he made earlier and a mouth watering, (I asked for seconds) delicious crispy pork.
