A big helper in the battle for clear skin is water. So as I am trying to ditch diet sodas I have become pretty creative with my water. I like bubbly water with flavor but didn’t want all of those creepy additives they add. Or fake lemon. So I started making spa water. At every spa I have traveled to I have been amazed at the creative flavors they come up with.
Here are a few of my favorite recipes.
Apple & Cinnamon Makes one big pitcher, re-fill water 3-4 times before replacing apples and cinnamon. Or just eat the apples when the water runs out. Apples and cinnamon boost metabolism.
1 Apple thinly sliced 1 Cinnamon Stick ( I like 3 but that but me a bit much) Drop apple slices in the bottom of the pitcher and then the cinnamon stick, place in the fridge for 10 minutes before serving, over ice.
Strawberry Mint This can be done with lemon, lavender, berries or other fruit. Mint is good for digestion.
6 strawberries cut in half
6 mint leaves ( Again I double this)
water
Drop strawberries slices in the bottom of the pitcher and then the mint leaves, place in the fridge for 10 minutes before serving, over ice.
Peach & Honey 1 tsp. honey 1 peach sliced
Drop peach slices in the bottom of the pitcher and then add water, add honey and stir. Place in the fridge for 10 minutes before serving, over ice.

I started Haute Beauty Guide in 2008 as a way to stay in touch with my skincare clients between appointments. At first, I only covered skincare but HBG grew with me as my life evolved— from traveling around the world, heading back to college after taking a long break, buying our first home, to getting my first gray hair! Monterey is my home and I take the lifestyle here to heart.
