Cool crisp weather hasn’t really hit us here in Monterey, CA but I know it will soon. As the season changes I look to use up my summer skincare and start transitioning to fall. Here are all the End Of Summer Skincare Empties: What Worked and Didn’t! There were some I had strong hopes for and others that really wow’d me. Read on for more.
Dr Zenovia Vitamin C Brightening Toner – HATED these. I broke out every time I used theme. This set is more for combination skin that runs more oily.
Follain Hydrating Cleanser – LOVED IT! This gentle cleanser was the perfect evening second cleanse and morning cleanse.
Jan Marini C-Esta Serum – LOVED IT. Already ordered more. This is one of those products that I forget how much I like until I have a break. My skin is so even toned, glowy and plump with this serum. Plus, it is one of only 3 vitamin C serums my skin can tolerate.
Verso Eye Cream – LOVED IT. I discovered Verso years ago when it first popped up in the US and it is a favorite brand still to this day. This is great if you have dry skin and heavy lid. I find rich creams can weigh down my eyelid but this didn’t. I only used it at night. A lighter formula just works better for me during the day. Totally would buy this again. My eye area looks and feels more hydrated plus softer.
Pacifica Beauty Vegan Ceramide Cleanser – This was ok for me. It was great for morning cleanses and left my skin feeling clean. Not dried out though.
Glow Oasis Refreshing Eye Cream – Liked this as a night cream. It had a nice slip to it so great for gua sha and massage but I prefer something richer at night. Kind of between a day and night formula for me. PERFECT for oil or combo skin.
Oribe Hair Alchemy Conditioner – LOVED! Wow my hair looked so much better with this conditioner. The perfect post pool/beach formula. Super nourishing but light weight. Great for summer. My hair is very thick and coarse and dry this formula worked well for me. Totally bought more.
Rodan + Fields Body Replenish Active Hydrator – I wanted to like this and the formula is a nice texture for day or night. Very fast absorbing but the scent and the price tag just turned me off. I am totally willing to spend top dollar on skincare but there has to be reason for it. Feel, ingredients something and this just didn’t have it.
Follain Resurfacing Body Scrub – LOVED! Completely obsessed with this body scrub. I plan on using it all year. The texture is amazing. It is a scrub and mask in one. Great for clogged pores and dry patches.
