What a crazy start to 2023! The storms blew through Monterey and took with them a side of the old Alvarado Adobe. Sadly, as my neighbor, the city forced me to close down until the building is fully repaired. Over the last three weeks I’ve run around all over town trying to deal with insurance, the city, get access to all my equipment, furniture, and supplies and ultimately find a new temporary location.
As of now, I don’t have a timeline for when I can get back into the shop. The whole experience has been really devastating. I put so much into that little building and I loved it as much as my own home. The bank and all the downstairs neighbors are allowed to continue business but I’ve been forced to close with no real information on when I can reopen.
Today, I found a new small temporary space for facials and lashes. It reminds me of the first-ever studio I rented when I first opened back in 2008. Starting now, you can book facials and lashes online and shop the store online here. Not everything is up online yet but I am working on it a little every day.
