Last week I shared that we had an amazing babymoon in Carmel-by-the-Sea. I wanted to share more about what we did in Carmel and how we chose to eat in most nights. Almost every day we would get up and grab a quick breakfast. We loved the Little Swiss Cafe and Carmel Bakery. Then we would walk around the town, do a little shopping and then end up at the beach before going back to the house for a nap. After I woke we usually would spend time out on the balcony of the vacation home Bonne Chance.
MARTHA & MARLEY SPOON REVIEW
The house was so relaxing we didn’t want to leave. So I decided to try out Martha & Marley Spoon while we were there. I knew that if I hated it we could always go grab a bite to eat at a restaurant. Over the last few years, I have been a big supporter of the meal delivery services that have popped up. I think I have tried them all! Some didn’t work for us and others we really like. When I heard Martha Stewart was starting one I knew I had to check it out.
These boxes are so easy to bring on vacation. I picked out three meals and the Martha & Marley Spoon box was delivered the morning we left so I just popped it in the car with the luggage. When we arrived I unloaded it and forgot about it. That night KP decided he wanted to try the Seared Steak & Dijon Butter with Asparagus and New Potatoes. While he read a book I prepped the recipe. It was super easy and we LOVED the dijon butter over the steak and veggies. I think total it took about 20 minutes to make.
Our super cute vacation cottage had everything we needed to prep and cook this Martha & Marley Spoon meal. From pots, pans, knives and a super glam kitchen! The first night we sat at the island for our meal just enjoying the quietness of the home. After, we cleaned up really quick before going for another walk and enjoying The Voice. I never thought I would enjoy cooking while on vacation but the kitchen was so incredible and the views were so great it was a lot of fun.
