Our shelter in place is headed into week three but it feels like a year! Keeping Olivia busy and entertained while stuck in the house (it is raining here) has been tough. She is so used to daily outings that staying home feels like a punishment for her. I found this art kit at Maisonnette and it has been a great distraction!
Shelter In Place Kit
Other things in my quarantine kit are a good skincare routine–a mask a day keeps those stress wrinkles away. Cozy loungewear like this set from Joie and robe from Brooklinen. A few good books. I loved the Jessica Simpson book and this American Royals book. This Mexico cookbook has been a great source of inspiration for our menu. I also use this mask kit from Briogeo.
Around the house, I am using this Guardian Technologies air purifier. I move it from room to room to keep the air quality up. It also uses blue LED light technology to keep the air hospital quality clean. This kit from the Grove Collaborative is my go-to for handwashing. I have their laundry kit and home cleaning kits on auto-ship so when the crisis hit I had everything I needed to keep my home sanitized. A humidifier and thermometer round up my household must-haves.
For Olivia, I stocked up on tons of coloring books, art supplies, Disney+, and snacks! I usually only give her water and milk but a juice box is our new after nap treat!
For the next week, I decided to focus on toddler art projects. I’ll share them daily here on the blog. The kit above has most of the supplies you will need for them. Also this week, I am sharing interviews with Moms from all over the US about how they are sheltering in place and keeping their families healthy. I hope you will come back and join me in reading their stories.
Stay Safe & Healthy,
