Monterey once held a large Army base called Fort Ord. It is the reason my family ended up there; my grandfather was in the Army and stationed at Ft. Ord. It closed in 1992 and now holds a University and some housing developments. Back when I was a kid there was this giant building right on these cliffs. It was the first ever Army Enlisted club! Sadly, the coastline eroded and became unsafe but my Grandmother and Aunt would tell me stories about dancing all night long there. The building was torn down long ago and now the site is a state beach. A nice hiking trail, bike paths, and views can be found here. I hope you all are enjoying a few of my favorite childhood spots.
I am obsessed with this neon cardi from Cabi. When I first saw it on the runway I was pretty sure I would hate it. After trying it on I was hooked!
Have you ever found a piece that you knew you would hate only to totally fall in love with it?
