Movie nights are our favorite way to spend a family night in our house and with one of my big New Year’s Resolutions being to get healthier I am looking for ways to keep my resolution on track and still have fun. Movie night snacks or meals are usually so full of sugar and junk I feel awful the next morning. I just can’t do all that anymore. I’m sure I’m not alone in wanting to have a fun family night but not break my healthy eating streak. Pizza is one of my favorite treats, something about it just transforms me back to childhood and happy memories. But I am always looking for healthier options that still taste amazing. Freschetta Gluten Free Pizza was easy to make and tasted delicious. I didn’t need any fancy tools or pans! The crust was crispy and very satisfying. Actually, the crust was the best I’ve ever had on a gluten free pizza! Olivia, but most surprisingly my super fussy husband, LOVES this pizza.
New Year’s Resolutions
I discovered Freschetta from a friend who started eating gluten free a few years back. We had it at her house one night and I was shocked it was GF! Ever since, it has been my go-to pizza in our freezer. While I am not gluten free all the time, I do love having a healthier option that still tastes good and satisfies my pizza cravings.
Freschetta offers two delicious gluten free flavors including Pepperoni and Four Cheese. Pepperoni is my favorite paired with a fresh salad! I now keep it stocked in our freezer for pizza nights, a fast meal or a quick grab for when a friend with dietary preferences stops by. It never disappoints.
We got in the habit of having pizza and popping on a family movie over the holidays and all decided we wanted to keep the trend going. Both my husband and I love watching our favorite childhood favorites with Olivia. Watching her discover them is so much fun. After the movie, we all go for a walk to help keep my health goals on track.
Part of my reason for getting healthier this year is to show Olivia healthy examples, so it is easier for her to model. Making great food choices, being active and quality family time are all things I hope she continues with her own children. I’m glad I figured out a way to keep my New Year’s Resolutions on track and still have fun with her.
