Owlet Baby Monitor Review
Being a new Mom is scary. There are so many things I find myself thinking about that I never did before. I swore I wouldn’t be one of those Moms that held the mirror under their baby’s nose while she was sleeping and yet that is exactly what I turned into. All night long I am checking to see if Olivia is ok. Not great when I am already getting up every 1.5 hours to nurse.
When I heard about the Owlet I knew I needed to try it out. It took me a less than 20 minutes to set it up. I even called their customer support team to help me since my sleep-deprived brain is struggling to remember how to spell my own name. Olivia doesn’t seem to mind the sock. I use it at night and during the day when she naps. The key is to get that pinky toe lined up with the line on the inside of the sock and not to place the straps too tight. The sock can go on either foot and we alternate it every night. The only time I have received a false notification was when I didn’t have the sock on right. One day I kept getting an error and realized the sock just needed charging! Owlet has helped me get a bit more sleep at night and more work accomplished during the day.
The sock sends heart rate and oxygen stats directly to my phone so I know she is sleeping soundly. Plus, if there is an error or abnormality the base station sings a little lullaby so I know to get up and check on Olivia. I appreciate that it isn’t a jarring beep or alarm so it doesn’t wake her up in the case of a false alarm.
The first night in we got an extra half hour of sleep and now a few weeks in we feel like we are sleeping so much better. Just knowing we don’t have to worry quite so much is the best feeling as a new Mom.
I hope this Owlet baby monitor review was helpful! Check out Owlet for more information.
