Galentine’s Day
Two years ago I started a fun tradition of throwing a Galentine’s Day party. It is a fun way to get my girlfriends together and catch up. This year I did a paint party! It was too much fun and super easy.
Here is all you need.
- Drink Laugh Paint: How to Host a Painting Party c/o – This kit has a super easy to follow instruction book and invites (I saved these for another time and used Valentine theme cards).
- Paint
- Brushes
- Canvas— We used watercolor paper since we were all first-timers.
- Water cups and napkins — I got everything above from Target in the kids aisle.
I covered the table with a cheap tablecloth and paper napkins to protect the table. The heart runner (was not cheap) was from Pottery Barn and got super stained at a different event so I used it for this party. We did the Eiffel Tower painting; it felt so romantic and dreamy. I put on some Paris Cafe music to give a bit of background. Ordered some treats from the Paris Cafe in Monterey and some of my favorite chocolates from Lulas! I also grabbed a bunch of roses from my local Whole Foods, some candles, and some Valentines’ Day decor. I grabbed most of it from the dollar aisle at Target! It was so simple.
I would show my picture but it looks like a 2-year-old did it!
I created a signature drink. Just a simple Watermelon Fizz.
In a large pitcher combine 1 cup Kohr Vodka c/o and 4 bottles of Watermelon Fizz. Chill in fridge until the party. I froze watermelon cubes on toothpicks to use as ice. These were a hit! You can sub the watermelon for something sweeter like strawberries. I was going to do lavender but I have two friends who hate all things lavender.
I had sparkling water!
It was such a fun afternoon and we can’t wait to do it again next year.
